Aloo Paratha Recipe


Aloo paratha is a popular Indian dish that consists of stuffed bread made with potatoes and spices. Here's how to make it.




 Ingredients Required:

 - 2 cups of wheat flour 

- 4 medium-sized potatoes - 

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

 - 1/2 tsp red chili powder - 

1/2 tsp cumin powder -

 1/2 tsp coriander powder - 

Salt to taste - 2 tbsp of oil or ghee

Method:

 1. Start by boiling the potatoes, peel, and mashing them.

 2. Add all the spices to the mashed potatoes and mix well. 

3. Take the wheat flour in a bowl, add salt to taste, and mix well. 

4. Add water to make a soft dough ball. Knead the dough well and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

 5. Flatten a small portion of the dough with your hands.

 6. Place 2 tablespoons of the potato filling in the center of the flattened dough. 

7. Seal the dough ball by gathering the edges and pinching it to form a ball again. 

8. Flatten the ball into a round shape using a rolling pin.

 9. Heat a tawa or griddle over medium flame. 

10. Place the flattened dough onto the tawa and cook it on medium heat. 

11. Flip the paratha over when you notice brown spots on the base. 

12. Brush the paratha with oil or ghee and cook until it is golden and cooked evenly. 

13. Repeat the process with the remaining dough to make more aloo parathas.
