Mysore Bonda Recipe- special

 


Ingredients required:

1 cup of maida (all-purpose flour)

1/2 cup of rice flour

1/2 cup of yogurt

1 tsp of cumin seeds

1 tbsp of grated ginger

1 green chili, finely chopped 

1/4 tsp of baking soda

Salt

Oil for frying

Method:

1. In a mixing bowl, add maida, rice flour, cumin seeds, grated ginger, green chili, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

2. Gradually add yogurt and mix well to form a smooth, thick batter. Keep the batter aside for at least 30 minutes.

3. Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat.

4. Once the oil is hot, take small portions of the batter and gently drop them into the oil. Do not overcrowd the pan.

5. Fry the bondas until they turn golden brown on all sides. Drain them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

6. Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
