Ingredients Required:
4-5 slices of bread
1/4 cup ghee or clarified butter
1/2 cup sugar - 2 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
1/4 cup chopped nuts (almonds, cashews or pistachios)

Method:
1. Cut the bread slices into small pieces and keep them aside. 2. Heat the ghee in a pan over medium heat.
3. Add the chopped bread pieces to the pan and fry them until they turn golden brown.
4. Once the bread is fried, add sugar and stir until it dissolves.
5. Next, pour in the milk and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
6. Add cardamom powder and cook the halwa until the milk thickens and the mixture turns into a semi-solid consistency.
7. Finally, add chopped nuts and mix well.
