Oatmeal Breakfast Recipe

 Oats are a cereal grain crop commonly grown in temperate regions for their edible seeds, which are rich in fiber and essential vitamins and minerals. They are often used as a main ingredient in breakfast cereals, granola bars, cookies, muffins, and other baked goods. Oats are also frequently used as animal feed and in the production of oat milk and other dairy alternatives.



Ingredients Required: 

- 1 cup old-fashioned oats

- 2 cups water

- 1/4 tsp salt

- 1/2 cup blueberries

- 1/4 cup sliced almonds

- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

- 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Method:

In a medium saucepan, bring the water and salt to a boil.

Add the oats and stir well. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until the oats are cooked and the mixture is thickened.

Stir in the blueberries and almonds and continue to cook for an additional 2 minutes until the blueberries are softened and the almonds are toasted.

 Remove from heat and stir in the honey or maple syrup and cinnamon, if using.

Serve hot and enjoy!
